My approach to therapy and psychotherapy
I’d like to help you feel joy in your life and your relationships. I am a Bay Area therapist with a great deal of experience in trauma, addictions, grief/loss, depression and anxiety. Our work together will be tailored to your individual needs, will be interactive, and will help you to reach your goals. I provide individual therapy to adults and also to adolescents and work with the diversity that is our East Bay area including Persons of Color (POC) and the LGBT-QI community.
I work from a strengths based, and solutions focused perspective while pulling from psychodynamic framework, which means I have an extensive and practical understanding of the deep and intimate connections of our past experiences and relationships and how they are affecting our present and future.
Our work together will be about understanding your emotions and patterns of behavior and facilitating the insight needed to make change. We will use the therapeutic process to create lasting change in your thinking, feeling and actions. You will develop tools to more effectively address challenges and gain a deeper understanding about who you are. It is my hope to help you live more consciously, be happier, and discover the best possible you.
